return to rindge dam

second trip to malibu canyon's hidden oasis of fun. the s.o.k. crew was joined by chris arbuso. dual gopro footage - video coming soon. ivo was sick and slept on a rock most of the day, despite making the strenuous climb into and out of the canyon! total trooper. owen fished but caught nothing. two more sets of oblivious climbers descended on the wrong trail again, this time without any avalanches. water was cold as fuck.

thanks to throb and the los angeles swimmin crew for the directions to the dam. we hiked down the rocky descent to the first trail change where it was climb the ladders or swim, and it was there where we lost the camera. bloop, it went swimming, end of story. thanks to heike for the pics (below) she took from the top of the dam as we swam and jumped.

best jump spot so far. deep pools, plenty of variables with jumping spots, no crowds, chill spots, warm water....

we had met max's mom heike a couple weeks earlier at this same spot, and this time we met her son max and got to hang with them for most of the day. 12 year old max was killing the whole spot, nailing all the highest jumps with a refined style and ease. crazy awesome kid!

we met up with peter green and jim bailey for a day at tar creek. great weather. killer hike. amazing jumps. only jim made it to the lower pools but didn't get any pics. next time we all go. 70 footer might get hit soon. anyone?
